Q3

For Trading October 1st
Welcome to Q3
Rally Continues
PLTR Prices @ $7.25 ASAN $21.00
Today’s market was looking pretty ugly on the overnight futures reaction to the debate, but we had a deluge of positive data coming from ADP, Case Schiller, Chicago PMI, another look at Q2 GDP and mortgage applications. We moved from -200 DJIA to +100 in the last 20 minutes leading up to the open and it only got better from there. We had the Treasury Secretary from the Seeking Alpha virtual meeting talking about his conversations with Speaker Pelosi and gave some hopeful words, which added gas to the fire, and we were headed to +550 on the DJIA with the rest of the market following. When the dust settled we finished with the DJIA +329.04 (1.2%), NASDAQ +82.26 (.74%), S&P 500 +27.53 (.83%), the Russell +2.97 (.20%) and the DJ Transports the only one lower at -71.79 (.63%). Market internals were unimpressive although volume was about 30% higher but that was likely the effect of the end of the quarter. There were only 2 DJIA lower (DIS & NKE) while the biggest gainers were AXP, UNH, AMGN, GS, & HD.
Our “open forum” on Discord, which allows you to interact with subscribers and others to allow direct questions and chart opinions on just about any stock, continues to grow with more participants every day. It is informative and allows me to share insights as the market is open and moving. The link is: https://discord.gg/ATvC7YZ and I will be there and active from before the open and all day. It’s a great place to share ideas and gain some insights, and we’ve grown to almost 3000 members.
I also returned to my radio show today with a great live interview with the Chief Medical Officer of JANONE (JAN) and it was a great show. This is the link to the audio recording including my discussion of the market and the very exciting story of JAN’s phenomenal NON-OPIOID Pain Med! This is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oCFCxnijFO4 Enjoy!!

Tonight’s closing comment video: https://youtu.be/e9UkY-d19rw
SECTORS: There wasn’t a lot of sector news, but we did have some news from DIS after the close laying off 28,000 employees at the “parks” division with full time, part time, as well as executives. The stock finished today $124.00, better than last night’s reaction but still lower by $1.40 (1.12%). Micron (MU) was sold off even though they beat top and bottom lines but sellers took control and after it traded up to $52.67 on the headline, it spent the day today selling off and closed on the lows at $46.90 -3.81 (7.51%). This is why I always try to NOT trade earnings reports. This is a prime example of being right on the numbers and having it cost you money.
Becton Dickenson reported positive results on their “antigen-based test’ and was higher, closing $233.71 +8.28 (3.67%). Moderna (MRNA) was also higher during the day with a high of $75.39 but finished $70.75 +.23 (.33%). PLL who signed a 5-year agreement with TESLA for an element used in batteries that had traded $54.50 and since closing $37 +26 has had a couple of weaker days finishing the day today $23.69 -1.69 (6.66%) but still well up from $11.00.
New Group: AIR & CRUISE LINES were HIGHER with CCL +.27, RCL +.50, NCLH +.80, AAL +.16, DAL +.12, UAL +.59, HA +.15, ALK -.04 and XTN $58.15 -.18 (.32%).
FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN was HIGHER with TSN +.51, BGS -.04, FLO +.23, CPB +.35, CAG +.17, MDLZ +.96, KHC +.34, CALM -.22, JJSF +1.04, SAFM -.03, HRL +.38, SJM +2.51, PPC +.17, KR +.19, and PBJ $32.72 +.22 (.68%).
BIOPHARMA was HIGHER with BIIB +1.33, ABBV +1.28, REGN -12.51, ISRG +19.45, GILD +1.45, MYL +.26, TEVA +.16, VRTX +1.81, BHC +.77, INCY +2.31, ICPT +.01, LABU -.23, and IBB $135.41 +.80 (.59%). CANNABIS: was MIXED with TLRY +.11, CGC -.15, CRON -.01, GWPH -.47, NBEV +.01, CURLF +.16, KERN -.04, and MJ $10.36 -.07 (.67%).
DEFENSE was LOWER with LMT -4.98, GD -.12, TXT -.68, NOC -7.90, BWXT -.96, TDY -1.73, RTX +.16, and ITA $159.79 -.07.
RETAIL: was HIGHER with M +.07, JWN +.29, KSS +.15, DDS +3.01, WMT WMT +3.13, TGT +1.05, TJX +1.49, RL +.63, UAA +.15, LULU +7.71, TPR -.07, CPRI +.33 and XRT $49.66 +.35 (.71%).
MEGA-CAPS & FAANG were HIGHER with GOOGL -.07, AMZN +17.12, AAPL +2.08, FB +1.01, NFLX +7.31, NVDA +14.12, TSLA +12.03, BABA +18.07, BIDU +5.39, CMG -11.28, CRM +4.35, BA +5.70, CAT +2.09, DIS -.91, and XLK $117.07 +1.34 (1.16%). PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE PRICES ARE LATE MARKET QUOTES AND DO NOT REPRESENT THE 4:00 CLOSES.
FINANCIALS were HIGHER with interest rates with GS +4.18, JPM +.87, BAC +.36, MS +1.18, C +.72, PNC +3.88, AIG +.29, TRV +.56, V +.96, and XLF $24.09 +.34 (1.42%).
OIL, $40.22 +.93, Oil was in a fairly tight range all day. After the oil sold off yesterday it had an “inside day” today, so no real hint to which way it is going out of this consolidation. The stocks were MIXED with XLE $30.03 -.01 (.03%).
GOLD $1,895.50 – 7.70, opened HIGHER and made a slightly higher high and a higher low, closing mid-range but down on the day. There were several “unusual options action” looking for another 10-12% on the upside before year end. We sold the balance of the 3X silver ETF calls at $2.10.
BITCOIN: closed $10,770 -45. After breaking out over $10,000 we have had a “running correction” pushing prices toward $12,000, reaching a recovery high of $12220 Thursday, and after a day of rest in between, we resumed the rally touching $12,635, but have sold off back to support. We had 750 shares of GBTC and sold off 250 last week at $13.93 and still have 500 with a cost of $8.45. GBTC closed $11.01 -.02 today.
Tomorrow is another day.

Today’s market got off to a slightly higher start on the combination of continuing claims and initial claims numbers and the report of higher import and export prices. The DJIA traded in a narrow range and finished midrange and -80.12 (.29%), the NASDAQ was higher all day hitting a high of +112 but gave back much of the gain closing +30.26 (.27%), S & P 500 -6.92 (.20%), the Russell -3.46 (.22%), and DJ Transports -49.62 (.45%) but still putting in a good show for the week. SECTORS: There really wasn’t much in the way of news today, with the exception of the California Court of Appeals denying the TRO from both UBER and LYFT on the classification of drivers as employees instead of contractors. Both have threatened to halt their services which account for about 16% of their revenues just in California. As mentioned before, CSCO reported a poor showing and last night it was $44.47, but it continued today and finished $42.72 -5.38 (11.2%). AMAT beat on revenues and earnings and gave solid guidance and after closing $65.07 – 1.43 it reversed higher and is $67.37 +2.30, and BIDU beat on earnings but with only in-line revenues and gave a warning about ad revenues in the coming quarter. Today’s market WAS A SPLIT PERSONALITY RIGHT FROM THE START. While the S&P and NASDAQ worked higher, the DJIA was lower. At the close the DJIA was -86.11 (.31%), NASDAQ +110.43 (1%), S&P 500 +9.14 (.27%), the Russell +7.59 (.48%), and the DJK Transports -6.60 (.06%). The Bond market was also a split affair with the short end lower and longer term slightly higher, flattening the yield curve. Market internals were pretty much neutral with the NYSE 1:1 and the NASDAQ just 9:7 even with the rise. The DJIA was only 11 up and 19 down with the financials the weakest and HD, WMT, and V higher. On the downside we had BA -42, GS -34, UNH -22, AXP, JPM, and TRV all -19 DP’s. Tomorrow we have HD, WMT, and AAP earnings tomorrow before the open.

EWMCI Periodic Update 2020-08-17 [Full Version]

Dear EWMCI Community,
A lot has happened since our last Periodic Update! Most importantly, it seems that cryptocurrency markets have been in a bull run for the past three months... resulting in repeated 52-time-highs across all our indices! There are also some important updates about the EWMCI Ecosystem (see end of this message). But let's start with an overview of our four indices!
EWX-11 Index: Running for 13 weeks now, this index represents the EWMCI "Core-11" cryptocurrencies. Since its inception, the index has appreciated approximately 65% - an impressive short-term record. Looking at the chart, the overall momentum seems to be slowing at this time, indicating that a short-term correction may be in the cards.
Bronze Index: The small cap index has been making repeated 52-week highs since mid-May, 2020. In fact, it is up >220% since early March, 2020 and >380% since August, 2019! In terms of current price movement trends, the momentum seems to be drying up a bit, indicating that a near-term correction may be upon us. If that occurs, there is fairly strong support right around $115-$120, but hopefully the correction will end before reaching those levels.
Silver Index: The mid caps have been rallying since early March, 2020. In addition to being , we are >210% up since March, 2020. Having said that, the question of short-term sustainability arises. Given the current chart behavior, it seems that there was a failed "island reversal" in late July / early August, and now we may be in a somewhat uncharted territory. This means that prices will either revert toward consecutive support levels ($20-$22 and $18, respectively) or we will continue upward from here. The next 2-3 weeks will show!
Gold Index: Our large cap index has seen a major bull run in the past 7 weeks. There are two potential origins of this important move: [a] The ongoing increase in Bitcoin price; and [b] Investors transitioning from low-yielding bonds and stocks to higher-yielding staking coins. Given the magnitude of the recent upswing, the question of near-term sustainability arises. It is very likely that we will see some degree of downward pressure, but there is one big positive - There is now a fairly well defined support level right around $28-$29, going all the way back to mid-February, 2020.
Other Developments: NLexch.com has now officially closed its doors. We would like to thank NLexch for their long-term support and professionalism, and we look to the potential DEX concept proposed by the NLexch leadership. Significant portion of NLexch activities, especially those involving EWX-11 coins, has now transitioned to both Zapple.com and Fides-ex.com. Please continue to support these EWMCI exchange partners.
We are pleased to announce that xPloreNow.com is now up and running! Powered by Terracoin, xPloreNow.com is a truly independent, high-quality, reliable platform that provides comprehensive price discovery services for EWMCI "Core-11" coins (and increasingly for other cryptocurrency projects).
Finally, the September EWMCI Index Rebalancing is upon us! Please do not forget to cast your votes for candidate coins... use the following link: https://linkto.run/p/GUDJIRLX
Till next update!
Cheers,

GS Earnings a Beat Prop-Trading Helps
NASDAQ Still Weaker
TWTR HACKED
Today’s market got off to a decent start with the futures indicating a gain of about 500+, but it didn’t live up to its promise, falling back and reaching up “only” 428 and making that high by 9:45 and trading sideways to lower and making a low around 12:15 at + just 50 before turning back up to make a lower high +240 and selling off again, but making a late gain back to +310 before the last little selloff to close +227.51 (.85%), NASDAQ +61.91 (.59%), S&P 500 +29.04 (.91%), the Russell +50.05 (3.5%) and the big winner, DJ Transports +424.96 (4.56%). Market internals were strong with the NYSE A/D 5:1 and NAZ 4:1 with slightly higher volume than yesterday. The DJIA was 25:5 with the big gainer BA, +55 and UNH the big loser -31 DP’s. There was plenty of good news from the Beige Book gains, Industrial production +5.4% v 4.6 est., import / export gains and mortgage apps +5.1%. Tomorrow we have Initial and continuing claims, retail sales, Phili Fed, NAHB housing and business inventories. Plenty to obsess about!

Tonight’s closing comment video https://youtu.be/hEiml2wDNeA
SECTORS: Goldman Sachs (GS) reported great numbers, buoyed by proprietary trading and while the stock traded as high as $225.24, it couldn’t hold those gains and finished $216.90 +2.89 (1.35%). So, as I mentioned in tonight’s video (link above) the airlines and cruise lines were propelled higher by the news from Moderna (MRNA) that their vaccine produces twice the antigens as those from patients that have recovered from the illness. MRNA finished $80.22 +5.18 (6.9%) after trading as high as $88.37. The airlines were AAL+1.87 (16%), DAL +2.49 (9.5%), LUV +.60 (2.2%), while the cruise lines were CCL +2.44 (16.2%), RCL +10.21 (21%), and NCLH +3.17 (20.6%). If I had to pick one that I’d go with, it would be none of these. I think the play will be in EXPE $90.23 +7.76 (9.4%) since people will need to book regardless of what they want to do or where they want to go. The TWTR hack of several high profile users, Obama, Biden, Bill Gates, Kanye West and Elon Musk was a crypto scam announcing a giveaway that required the sender to deposit .1 BTC in order to receive .2 BTC back…yeah, right…I’m so sure Joe Biden wants to double my money! And, the HOMERUN of the day was the Australian Biotech, Genetic Tech (GENE), whose “Severity Risk Test” was updated on a webinar. The stock was as low as $1.41 earlier this year and closed on Tuesday @ $2.26 and opened the day today @ 2.75 and ran up to $10.30 before closing $5.67 +3.41 (150.89%). Clearly a homerun!
FOOD SUPPLY CHAIN was LOWER with TSN +1.71, BGS -.27, FLO -.13, CPB -1.06, CAG -.37, MDLZ -.19, CALM -.14, JJSF +2.11, SAFM +1.77, HRL -.27, SJM -1.31 and PPC $16.53 +.30 (1.85%).

CANNABIS: was HIGHER with TLRY +.24, CGC +.81, CRON +.67, GWPH -3.99, ACB +1.11, CURLF +.10, KERN +.42, and MJ $13.64 +.38 (2.87%).
DEFENSE: was HIGHER with LMT +9.94, GD +2.64, TXT +1.05, NOC +5.21, BWXT +1.24, TDY +21.12, RTX +2.73 and ITA $165.19 +5.58 (3.5%).

FAANG and Big Cap: were LOWER with GOOGL -5.74, AMZN -86.00, AAPL +.61, FB -.53, NFLX -.38, NVDA -8.78, TSLA -5.80, BIDU -.69, CMG +33.98, BABA +.25, CAT +2.62, BA +6.32, DIS +1.74, and XLK $107.64 +.58 (.54%). PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THESE PRICES ARE LATE MARKET QUOTES AND DO NOT REPRESENT THE 4:00 CLOSES.
FINANCIALS were HIGHER with GS +1.54, JPM +.99, BAC +.52, MS +1.32, C +1.60, PNC +2.89, AIG +.76, TRV +.79, AXP +2.54, V +2.72 and XLF $24.15 +.47 (1.98%).
OIL, $41.20 +.91. Oil was lower in last night’s trading before we rallied in the morning. I mentioned in last night’s charts with comments section in the Weekly Strategies letter, prices are trying to work higher towards $45.00. We needed a close over the previous high close of $40.83 and we finally did that today. The stocks were higher with XLE $37.38 +.79 (2.16%).
GOLD $1,813.80 +.40. It was a continuation rally and a new recovery high of $1,829.80. I have only the NEM August 65 / 70 spread on in the Gold market while we have been back in the Silver (SLV) calls @ $ .92 from Friday. Silver rallied from a down overnight session and the calls closed $1.40 +.12. We also added a GLD 7/24 170 call position @ $1.22 that finished $1.54 -05.
BITCOIN: closed $9,190 -120. After trading back to 8985 we rallied back to close – only $5. Since last week we have closed between 9200 – 92.85 every day with narrow ranges and today was a good start to move higher. A break over 10,000 still sends us higher. We added 350 shares of GBTC @ $10.02 to our position of 400 @ $8.06, bringing our average price to $8.97. GBTC closed $9.48 - .25 today.
Tomorrow is another day.

JPM Earnings a Beat But Loan Loss Grows 875%
NASDAQ Still Weaker
MODERNA Publishes Results
Today’s market got off to a soft start and after an initial dip it started up. The exception was the NASDAQ. I went home with a few SMH puts and as that ETF fell quickly, I took a nice gain only to see it reverse and move higher with the rest of the markets. The early excitement with the DJIA futures quickly evaporated and we didn’t do much from 11:00 – 1:00 but then started higher and after a new high of day, +450 or so, we sold off from 3:00 to 3:30 before another rally to new high of day and a close +556.79 (2.13%), NASDAQ +97.74 (.94%), S&P 500 +42.30 (1.34%), the Russell +24.69 (1.76%) and the DJ Transports +159.29 (1.71%). Market internals were about as expected for an up day with the NYSE 2:1 and NASDAQ 5:3 after its lower open and rally. Volume was down slightly lower than yesterday. The DJIA showed all 30 names up with the biggest winner UNH +60DP’s (earning tomorrow morning), HD +55, AAPL and CAT +43, MCD +39, and TRV, MCD, and V all adding 30 DP’s. The strongest sectors were energy, industrials, health care and materials. Weaker were consumer discretionary and financials. The U.S. Dollar continued weak and commodities were generally higher. Economic numbers, CPI was released this morning and came in at + .6% for CPI, up from an expected .5%, and Core CPI was + .2% vs .1% expected. This meant that the numbers showed benign consume inflation, although anyone who shops in a grocery store knows that’s not the case!

Gold makes new high

For Trading JULY 9th
Gold Makes New Recovery High
JPM Upgrades NKLA
Today’s market got off to a slightly higher start and spent the day between up and down 100 until the last hour when we rallied up to close +$177.10 (.68%), NASDAQ +148.61 (1.44%), S&P 500 +24.62 (.78%), the Russell +11.41 (.81%) and the DJ Transports +43.82 (.47%). Market internals were 1.4:1 in both NYSE and NASDAQ while volume was 3:2 up on the NYSE. DJIA was 22:7 up and RTX was unchanged. Volume was average. The continued weakness in the U.S. Dollar has had little effect on the market, but the commodities side has had a solid bid under it. The gold and silver are acting the way you would expect, making new recovery highs, but we are also seeing strength in any international market that is quoted in dollars. I expect this to continue and these markets to move higher. Deficits and continuing zero rates are a powerful influence.

We sold the balance of the remaining NEM 7/17 $60’s bought @ 1.55 and added to last Friday @ $1.30 for an average of $1.47 triggered a 100% Up Rule sale at $2.94, and yesterday’s sale was @ $3.20, and today we took $4.30 for the balance. JPM Earnings a Beat But Loan Loss Grows 875%
NASDAQ Still Weaker
MODERNA Publishes Results
See Gold to see some our open option positions..

Bitcoin 11 Years - Achievements, Lies, and Bullshit Claims So Far - Tooootally NOT a SCAM !!!!

That's right folks, it's that time again for the annual review of how Bitcoin is going: all of those claims, predictions, promises .... how many have turned out to be true, and how many are completely bogus ???
Please post / link this on Bitcoin (I am banned there for speaking the truth, so I cannot do it) ... because it'a way past time those poor clueless mushrooms were exposed to the truth.
Anyway, without further ado, I give you the Bitcoin's Achievements, Lies, and Bullshit Claims So Far ...
.
Bitcoin Achievements so far:
  1. It has spawned a cesspool of scams (2000+ shit coin scams, plus 100's of other scams, frauds, cons).
  2. Many 1,000's of hacks, thefts, losses.
  3. Illegal Use Cases: illegal drugs, illegal weapons, tax fraud, money laundering, sex trafficking, child pornography, hit men / murder-for-hire, ransomware, blackmail, extortion, and various other kinds of fraud and illicit activity.
  4. Legal Use Cases: Steam Games, Reddit, Expedia, Stripe, Starbucks, 1000's of merchants, cryptocurrency conferences, Ummm ????? The few merchants who "accept Bitcoin" immediately convert it into FIAT after the sale, or require you to sell your coins to BitPay or Coinbase for real money, and will then take that money. Some of the few who actually accept bitcoin haven't seen a customer who needed to pay with bitcoin for the last six months, and their cashiers no longer know how to handle that.
  5. Contributing significantly to Global Warming.
  6. Wastes vasts amounts of electricity on useless, do nothing work.
  7. Exponentially raises electricity prices when big miners move into regions where electricity was cheap.
  8. It’s the first "currency" that is not self-sustainable. It operates at a net loss, and requires continuous outside capital to replace the capital removed by miners to pay their costs. It’s literally a "black hole currency."
  9. It created a new way for people living too far from Vegas to gamble all their life savings away.
  10. Spawned "blockchain technology", a powerful technique that lets incompetent programmers who know almost nothing about databases, finance, programming, or blockchain scam millions out of gullible VC investors, banks, and governments.
  11. Increased China's foreign trade balance by a couple billion dollars per year.
  12. Helped the FBI and other law enforcement agents easily track down hundreds of drug traffickers and drug users.
  13. Wasted thousands if not millions of man-hours of government employees and legislators, in mostly fruitless attempts to understand, legitimize, and regulate the "phenomenon", and to investigate and prosecute its scams.
  14. Rekindled the hopes of anarcho-capitalists and libertarians for a global economic collapse, that would finally bring forth their Mad Max "utopia".
  15. Added another character to Unicode (no, no, not the "poo" 💩 character ... that was my first guess as well 🤣)
  16. Provides an easy way for malware and ransomware criminals to ply their trade and extort hospitals, schools, local councils, businesses, utilities, as well as the general population.
.
Correct Predictions:
  1. 2015-12: "1,000 dollar in 2015", u/Luka_Magnotta, aka time traveler from the future, 31-Aug-2013, https://www.reddit.com/Bitcoin/comments/1lfobc/i_am_a_timetraveler_from_the_future_here_to_beg/ (Technically, this prediction is WRONG because the highest price reached in 2015 was $495.56 according to CMC. Yes, Bitcoin reached $1,000 in 2013 and 2014, but that's NOT what the prediction says).
  2. 2017-12: "10,000 in 2017", u/Luka_Magnotta, aka time traveler from the future, 31-Aug-2013, https://www.reddit.com/Bitcoin/comments/1lfobc/i_am_a_timetraveler_from_the_future_here_to_beg/

10-YEAR Touches New Low
Today’s market was down from overnight and my first thought was that California was called for Bernie and the market hated it, but that was the least of it. Continued weakness in bond rates and more COVID-19 cases, another cruise ship being held off San Francisco all added up to more fear and loathing for a market that has proven to be subject to massive headline risk. The DJIA was -969.58 (3.58%), NASDAQ -279.50 (3.10%), S&P 500 -106.18 (3.39, the Russell -52.37 (3.42%) and the worst of all, DJ Transports -501.13 (5.27%) on the collapse of the airlines (more about that below). Market internals were horrendous with NYSE at 7.92:1 and NASDAQ 4.92:1 down. Volume was a bit lighter than yesterday, but the results were still bad. All 11 S&P sectors showed loses and the DJIA was 29:1 with only WBA + .09, and the biggest loser BA -154 DPs. Here’s a thought, Is COVID-19 actually helpful to BA? Does it mitigate the losses from settlements that they have to make to LUV and others because the 737MAX is not available, if they are cancelling the flights anyway? I guess I’m just a “silver lining” kind of guy! Meanwhile, Briefing.com shows NO strong groups tonight. First time I’ve ever seen that. Weak were financials, energy, industrials, materials and communication services.
Our “open forum” on Discord, which allows me to interact with subscribers and others to allow direct questions and chart opinions on just about any stock, continues to grow with more participants every day. It is informative and allows me to share insights as the market is open and moving. The link is: https://discord.gg/ATvC7YZ and I will be there and active from before the open and all day. It’s a great place to share ideas and gain some insights.
SECTORS: Other names in the news: It was a very tough day for planes and boats. The declines in both have been the worst of any groups. Today’s totals added mightily to both. The cruise operators have been lower since January with RCL $65.78 -12.80 (16.3%) today but down from the Jan high of $135, CCL $27.87 -4.59 (14.1%) buy off the Jan high of $52, and NCLH $28.59 -4.41 (13.4%) but off from $60. The airlines are no different with LUV $45.25 -1.68 (3.6%), but off the Jan high of $58, ALK $43.46 -6.23 (12.5%) from $68, AAL $16.04 -2.49 (13.4%) but off from 31, UAL $51.59 -7.88 (13.25%) off from $90, and DAL $45.01 -3.49 (7.2%) but also down from the Jan high of $62.
On the earnings front, AEO beat last night and started in the green this morning, opening $13.47 +.60 but finishing $11.86 -1.01 (7.9%), while KR escaped the red with only a slight beat, but growth in revenues on their turnaround plans and finished $33.47 +2.51 (8.1%).
In more COVID-19 news, Inovio (INO) which was $2.40 in December and has been moving steadily higher hitting $6.00, and falling back to $3.15 3 weeks ago closed the day $4.39 Tuesday and reportedly is starting human trials for their vaccine in April, closed Wednesday $7.45 +3.06 (69.7%) and traded up to $10.10 today, closing $9.80 +1.77 (22.04%). And another name seen here several times in the last 2 months, Nano-Viricides (NNVC). It’s a maker of antiviral vaccines and it was a reverse of 1:20 in sept. 2019, and since has traded as low as $1.27 and moved to $3 -$4 in January before a 1-day move from $3.48 to $13.45 and a close of $8.50 +5.14 or 152%). It fell back to $4 the next day and then had a 3-day move to $17.77, and back to $8 before topping out @ $19.20, all in January. It closed the day today @ $8.08 +.15 but in extended hours traded $13.87 and is currently $11.72 +3.64 (45%) on no news that I could find.
BIOPHARMA: was LOWER with BIIB -10.45 (3.18%), ABBV -1.00, REGN -5.31, ISRG -14.53, MYL -.63, TEVA -.37, VRTX -8.01, BHC -.68, INCY -1.55, ICPT -1.51, LABU -2.64 (5%), and IBB $119.56 -2.12 (1.74%).
CANNABIS: stocks were LOWER with TLRY -1.33 (10.63%), CGC -1.08 (6%), CRON-.13, GWPH -3.74, ACB -.07, PYX +.27 (7.32%), NBEV -.01, CURLF -.14, KERN -.15 and MJ $13.74 -.60 (4.18%).
DEFENSE: was LOWER with some major loses by LMT -12.25 (3.05%), RTN -15.35 (7.62%), GD -4.92 (2.92%), TXT -3.81 (9.3%), UTX -10.79 (7.76%), NOC -19.19 (5.53%), BWXT -1.92 (3.51%), TDY -4.75 (1.3%) and ITA $197.67 -13.51 (6.4%).
RETAIL was LOWER with major losses. M-.94 (7.42%), JWN -2.99 (9.09%), KSS -2.13 (5.83%), DDS -5.37 (9.46%), JCP .63 -.02 (3.06%), WMT -.78, TGT -1.82, TJX -2.51 (4.03%), RL -2.35 (2.13%), UAA -.63 (4.54%), LULU -10.20 (4.37%), TPR -1.73 (7.22%), CPRI -1.78 (7.08%), and XRT $39.57 -1.44 (3.51%).
FAANG and Big Cap: were LOWER with GOOGL -64.50, AMZN -48.83, AAPL -9.14, FB -6.26, NFLX -7.79, NVDA -9.33, IBM -4.23, TSLA -29.50, BABA -.26, BIDU -3.17, BA -16.62 (5.87%), CAT -5.39 (4.23%), DIS -4.76 (3.99%), and XLK $90.83 -2.96 (3.16%).
FINANCIALS were LOWER with the market and softness in rates with GS -9.34 (4.47%), JPM -7.15 (5.97%), BAC -1.32 (4.68%), MS -2.54 (5.61%), C -3.64 (5.4%), PNC -7.01 (5.42%), AIG -1.89 (4.44%), TRV -3.53 (2.68%), AXP -4.70 (4.06%), and XLF $26.50 -1.29 (4.64%).
OIL, $45.90 -.88. We failed to make any headway to the upside and finished the day near the lows. The stocks were LOWER with the market, and we should have some news on an OPEC agreement and whether (Putin the thug) Russia will agree to be part of it. XLE was $45.10 -1.64 (3.51%) with losses of over 4% in XOM and OXY.
METALS, GOLD: $1,668 +25.00. After the breakdown on Friday, that I feel was a forced liquidation of a failed hedge fund or other large institution, Gold started the day higher and after the Fed cut moved higher again. We also are challenging the recent high close of $1676.60 and the high $1,691.90.
BITCOIN: closed $9.195 + 435. We broke to the upside to hit $10,620 last week and have had daily rallies and sell-offs, but the weekly is on support and I think we will move higher. Last night I said that we have worked our way into a consolidation between support @ 8700 and 9055, and I will probably add back the 350 sold last week with a stop under the lows around 9.35 -9.40. We missed our chance early but we still own 400 GBTC with an average of $8.06. GBTC closed $10.93 +.89 today.
Tomorrow is another day.

If It Flies or Floats, It Crashed or Sank
